Woodsmenspost Beef Stroganoff Recipe

Grill 1 pound beef sirloin(or your favorite steak).Cut into 1/4-inch strips.Combine 1-tablespoon flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt.Coat the meat with flour mixture.Heat a skillet,then add 2-tablespoons of butter or margarine.When melted,add steak strips,and stir.Add one 3-ounce can of sliced mushrooms,drained,1/2 cup chopped onion and 1 clove of minced garlic: cook 3-4 minutes until onion is tender.

Remove meat and mushrooms from pan.Add 2-tablespoons butter or margarine to the pan drippings;blend in 3 tablespoons of all purpose flour.Add 1-tablespoon tomato paste.Stir in 1-1/4 cups of cold beef stock or bouillon.Cook and stir over medium-high heat until thickened and bubbly.

Return meat and mushrooms to skillet.Stir in 1-cup of sour cream:cook slowly until heated.DO NOT BOIL.Serve over hot egg noodles. Makes 4-5 servings.

my mom use to make beef stroganoff all the time when i was a kid. I have been getting my food from but this would be a great blast from the past to cook this from scratch! Thanks for the memory hahaha!!
